Colt Police Positive – Production started in 1907 until 1947. Early frames were lighter and designed to fire with 4-, 5-, and 6-inch barrels, and was chambered for the .32 Colt New Police, and .38 Colt New Police cartridges. In 1927 the frame was beefed up to accept the new 38 special. With a host of barrel lengths from 2-1/2” to 6” and in many calibers. These grips fit the long square butt frame. Over 750,000 were produced.
