Description
Colt Model 1903 .38 Pistol Reproduction Replacement Grip Black C11 – 1740 Black Polymer – Hardware Not Included
Based on an 1897 Browning patent, this is the first of the Colt high powered semi-automatic pistols. Introduced in 1900, approximately 3000 of the first model were made. Some will have military US or USN markings. In 1902 the model was changed to have a round hammer and new sights. In 1903 the pocket model was introduced and manufactured until 1927. This model shows an evolution from the stub to spur hammer, and an improvement of the finger grooves on the slide. These guns should not be fired with .38 super ammunition.
